Skype/Online Counseling

Skype/Online Counseling is not for everybody, nor is it appropriate for some personal and emotional issues. That said, it can be a fantastic technology that works great for many individuals. I have extensively used Skype/Online Services for personal counseling, career counseling (job search techniques, resume writing and interview scripting and rehearsal) and LPC Intern Supervision. I have found that more and more people like the flexibility and are comfortable with services delivered through this technology. Often, a combination of both face-to-face and Skype/Online services are a highly effective strategy.  Skype/Online services may be especially suited for those individuals who find themselves in the following type of life situations:

•   Prefer not to travel, pay for parking, fight Houston, San Antonio or Boerne traffic (Yuk!), receive vulgar hand/finger signals and have profanities thrown at them

•   Desire sessions in the comfort of their home or office

•   Have young children and find it hard to get a sitter

•   Are disabled or have health limitations and find phone or webcam counseling more suitable

•   Find themselves constantly traveling as a result of their job demands

•   Are comfortable using technology

•   Do not have a Licensed Professional Counselor in their community

Note: I offer reduced rates of $20 per session (not counting sessions devoted to my writng your resume, cover letter, interview script and taking the assessments) for those clients that choose the Skype/Online counseling option.
